The FH40G radiometer is a stand-alone unit with an internal proportional detector and can operate simultaneously with an external detector. The external probes used with the FH 40G are “smart” (plug and play), with the calibration parameters automatically adjusting when changing probes. Optional probes can be used for neutron measurements, alpha and beta contamination measurements and to detect artificial gamma radiation in variable fields of natural background radiation.
Measured values are displayed via a clear, backlit LCD display. Measurements are digital with a 3 decade logarithmic analog bargraph.
An intelligent flow rate measurement algorithm (ADF mode) detects and indicates small changes in dose rate, suppressing random noise.
Additional information includes alarm settings, audio speaker, battery voltage, external probe parameters, date and time and many user selectable functions.
