DE-tector flex is a compact and robust instrument that works on the principle of ion mobility spectrometry (IMS). DE-tector flex does not contain radioactive ionization sources.
The instrument performs real time measurements, performs detection and identification of explosives and drugs and is self-healing in seconds, ready for re-determination.
The product is intended for the rapid detection and identification of traces of explosive substances, present on different surfaces or objects as well as for the rapid detection and identification of traces of drugs of all classes. The product has been designed for use at border crossings, airport access points, prisons or protected targets.
Sampling traces of explosives and drugs from surfaces such as luggage, leather, laptops and packages can be accomplished using fiberglass sampling pads. Dedicated software algorithms and a reference library allow the automatic detection of explosives and drugs in very low concentrations (low ng range) from different surfaces.
DE-tector flex can be used continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Applications:
- Airport security
- Security control at access points to military or civilian objectives of particular importance
