SVG2

Backpack spectroscopic radiation detector (BRD)

SVG 2 is an equipment for the detection and measurement of γ-radiation, neutron flux (optional probe) and α, β, γ radioactive contamination.

SVG 2 can be used as a portable instrument, or in stationary or mobile version, and can be mounted on naval, air or land transportation.

Applications:

Measurement range γ-radiation:
  • γ radiation energy: 70 keV…3 MeV
  • dose rate γ: 0.01 μGy/h… 20 Gy/h
  • γ dose: 0-20 Gy
Measurement ranges at external probe connection α, β, γ:
  • activity α, β: 0…330 kCps
  • γ energy: > 70 keV
  • dose rate γ: 0.01 μGy/h…50 cGy/h
Neutron flux detection
  • Probe suitable for detecting fast and slow neutrons
  • neutron energy: 0.025eV -10 MeV
  • dose rate: 0.01…100.000 cps, with an efficiency of 3.4 cps/µSv/h for Cf-252=>0.01 µSv/h -30 mSv/h;
Food:
  • 2 batteries 1.5 V, mains power supply (adapter) and power supply from the electrical installation of the means of transport
Weight:
  • 3.5 kg
