IBAC 2 is a fully automatic biological agent detector that generates an alarm in less than 60 seconds when a dangerous biological agent is in the air. Its IBAC™ technology uses LASER-UV induced fluorescence to discriminate biological organisms from background particles, reliably detecting all four classes of biological agents at concentrations below 100 ACPLA with a minimal false alarm rate.
The IBAC 2 system can operate stand-alone, as part of a network configured as the “first rank/level” of a building protection system, or battery powered for mobile detection capabilities.
Its four levels work together continuously to monitor the environment for the presence of biological threats, alarms on detection, collects and stores the collected samples for further confirmatory analysis, and transmits the data to command and control centers. Installed for longer periods of time in a fixed location, or used in missions and tactical applications, IBAC 2 offers flexible and mobile solutions for bio-aerosol monitoring.
